I have been sick since last Wednesday- I won't go into the details, but lets just say- Mommy new she was in trouble when she went to change my diaper and there was poop on my sock... [JUMP TO FULL POST]

Toys!
Now that I've had about a month to play with my Birthday and Christmas toys, I thought I would give a few recommendations for some of my favorites.
I received several stacking toys, and I love them all- putting the cups inside each other, stacking them on top of each other, knocking down towers that my mommies have stacked- fun, fun, fun!
I love music and noise, but especially music and bopping around to different songs- this piano gives me lots of options.
My mommies had never even heard of the Backyardigans or Mountie Tyrone before I got this present, but this little guy has some great songs and can cheer me up even when I am in the midst of a fit! (Unfortunately for my mommies I like to make the song play over and over and over)
This trike is perfect for me, because I am too little to pedal yet, but my mommies can push me alllll over the place and I love it!
This one was actually a present for Mommy from Mama, but pretty much I am the ultimate beneficiary (exactly how it should be!)

snow!
Just so you know- I really enjoy the sound of frozen snow (you know the kind- snow with a layer of ice on top) underneath my feet. It took quite some time to get out to the car this morning because I was having a blast stomping my feet and making that satisfying cracking sound as the layer of ice broke. I am quite the little walker these days- I still prefer to hold onto a finger, pants leg, bag, whatever (but when no one is looking I practice walking on my own). Sometimes, I HAVE to walk, because otherwise I would have to put down a toy (and CLEARLY that is not going to happen) :) [JUMP TO FULL POST]

Last weekend
Okay, so my moms are a little behind in their posting, but here are some pics from last weekend- the weather was 70 degrees (in January!) so we went to the park on Saturday, and then my Mommy and Uncle Dennis took me to the Aquarium on Sunday. I LOVED the big fish tanks and walking along the railing and the rainforest, but the dolphin show SCARED me- what were those big fish doing in that perfectly nice swim tank?

cruise pics
Not too sure about Mickey...
Fun in the water (I didn't really like the sand though)
What is more cute- the towel animal or me?
Just relaxing
Enjoying the view
The dreaded muster drill costume- I did manage a smile for a minute though

12 month Doctors visit
For those of you keeping track here are my stats from my 12 month visit to the Doctor:
Height: 30 1/2 inches (about 75th percentile)
Weight: 26.2 pounds (about 90-95th percentile)
Head Circumfrence: 48 1/2 cm (about 90-95h percentile)
I got 4, count them.... 4 shots AND a finger stick. I did not cry for the finger stick- AT ALL!!! And I only whimpered after the 1st shot. I did cry for the last three, but was fine as soon as Mommy picked me up and let me turn on and off the light switch. So I am growing well, and the Dr. was very impressed with my excellent personality, I especially enjoyed sucking on her stethoscope, and playing the funny light she used to look in my ears, nose and mouth.

More Christmas 2006
We had a whirlwind Christmas, but didn't have to go far for the actual holiday... we went to church/the christmas pageant (where Mama made Mommy walk to and from church, even though it was cold and Mommy was wearing not-so-comfortable shoes). Then Nonna and Rick came over for dinner and pre-presents. Nonna stayed over and in the morning we did stockings, presents, and tea and bagels. I thoroughly enjoyed the wrapping paper and "helping" others open their gifts.
In the afternoon we headed to Nonnas and got o open *more* presents and *more* stockings. (my moms keep mentioning "rotating" my toys- the horror! They were meant to take over the entire living room, Moms, can't you see that?) Then it was early to bed and early to rise for our Cruise! We went on a Disney cruise with Nonna, Rick, RJ, Sean, Auntie Hillary and Auntie Emily. It was so much fun, even though I did not get to go to the spa or get a beach massage like my moms. And even though I'm not quite ready to totally love a giant mouse with 4 fingers on each hand. It was alot of Disney, but the ship was beautiful, well-kept, and they served things like Mango-Papaya Soup for dinner, which I love, and ice cream, which my moms let me have nibbles of now that I am ONE YEAR OLD. The one thing I did not like was the "muster drill" where they make you dress up in a funny looking costume, called a life jacket, and stand in a line. My lifejacket looked more garish than anyone else's, apparently because I am less than 30 pounds. the nerve.
