Busy June!

A few pictures to make up for our severe lack of recent posting- what can we say- we're busy!  

We have been experiencing tons of rain and thunderstorms recently- and well- Clay loves them!  here he is waiting for the next thunder clap so he can scream in delight.

For part of Mama's birthday celebration we went to Coppi's Organic in DC- they gave the boys pizza dough and Gus made his own pizza!  (Unfortunately "Mr. Pizza Head" did not last long as he fell on the ground and burned Gus's leg) but we still had fun!

Gus is taking swimming lessons and has gotten very good... at jumping in :)

Mama has been growing tons of stuff in the garden - the boys favorite so far are the peas

Clay is talking more and more and we think is saying far more than we can actually understand.  He's patient with us though- he will grab our hands and lead us to whatever he is trying to show us or ask for.

Drama

Its been a while since we posted- there are actually a few draft posts that just haven't been formatted yet- its been a busy winter and spring!  Due to some unfortunate incidents we had to ask our Nanny to leave and find new care for Clay.  He started at a home daycare this week and so far he seems to love it- below are some pictures from his first day and yesterday.  I think he likes to leave the house with all of us and play with some friends of his own.  Our little baby is getting so big!

Clay's 18 month Birthday and Appointment

Clay had his 18 month birthday and doctor's appointment yesterday- Happy Birthday Baby! His stats were:

• 34.5 inches tall (95 percentile)
• 27lbs 13 oz (75th percentile)
• Head 49.5 cm (95th percentile)

He's totally a gross motor skills kid (climbing, throwing balls, running, jumping). Doesn't use as many words as Gus did, for sure, but also has more signs.

Snow Day!!

We finally had enough snow to have a real snow day!!

Skiing!

We went skiing this weekend- Guster did fantastic- a little scared about"fallin" but otherwise very well!

Weekend

We were visited in DC by a whole bunch of friends, mostly other kids with two moms. We had a blast, especially at the zoo on Saturday!
